Napoleon Peacock has hatched in Evansville to help children develop a love of reading!
Napoleon Peacock has hatched to help children develop a love of reading! Our new feathered friend will star in a series of local children's books and educational TV shows. The Early Childhood Development Coalition is hosting a series of events promoting early literacy for our youngest family members. Napoleon Peacock will be appearing all over town so everyone can join in on his adventures!
|
The first book takes place at Mesker Park Zoo and is called "Napoleon Peacock's Adventure in Amazonia." Your children can experience Napoleon's adventures for themselves by sharing the story and enjoying meaningful play. You are your child's first teacher.
Children may receive a free book of their own. Call 437-2674 or email napoleon@unitedwayswi.org.

Children three and younger are eligible to receive all six local Napoleon books free of charge, mailed to your home over the next 2 years. There is no obligation to buy anything ever - we are just trying to promote reading in your home! To enroll, you must live in Vanderburgh, Warrick or Spencer Counties and have a child aged three or younger in your home. You will receive the first book right away, along with a tote bag, a Parent Guide, a puppet and more. Please call 437-2674 or email napoleon@unitedwayswi.org to learn more!
Napoleon's Adventures are made possible through a generous grant from the Welborn Baptist Foundation.
