What is Early Childhood Development?
Early childhood development is all of the development, physical, mental, social, and emotional, that a child goes through from the moment of birth through age 8. Children are learning before they are born. The minute they come into the world, they are taking in everything around them and beginning to make sense of their environment. Those everyday experiences affect the wiring of a baby's brain and determine their future.

A quality early childhood environment offers young children countless learning experiences presented in a friendly, supportive, nurturing environment and encourages meaningful interactions between children and their caregivers. Early bonding with parents and caregivers gives children the security they need in order to have confidence in exploring their world and developing a healthy sense of their identity.
